Have you ever wished your dog could tell you how they’re feeling? Well, unfortunately they can’t talk to us. However, they do often communicate how they’re feeling with dog body language!
Once you understand what dog language means it can help you get on the same page as your dog.
Sometimes dog body language can be tricky to read, so it’s important to be aware of signs which may appear confusing. For example, did you know that if your dog rolls over onto their belly it doesn’t necessarily mean they want a belly rub? It may be their way of asking you for space.
They roll over in an attempt to appease you and make it clear that they’re not a threat. If our dogs are showing these behaviours and signs with their body language it can indicate that they’re not feeling comfortable.
As I’m sure you’ll agree, we want our dogs to feel safe and happy, so we must respect their space in these situations!
If you sometimes find your dog’s behaviour confusing, learn more about why this might be here!
